People who follow me and identify as conservative are more likely than liberals to say they want a supreme dictator of their choice

You're generally more liberal or conservative? || If you press the button, a person you choose becomes supreme dictator of the United States for 4yrs. They can instantly pass/repeal any law, make supreme court judgments, etc. After 4yrs, democracy resumes. Do you press button?

Biden's the president for the next four years and Dems in Congress for two. To most liberals the difference between "current outcome" and "dictatorship of someone who agrees with me" is smaller than for Republicans. If you ask about last four years might go the other way.

It would be interesting to ask the same people the question when a conservative president was about to take office and see what, if anything, changed.

They may say it in the survey but this is a type of bias that is illustrated by the reality that liberals appear to be more comfortable with dictatorial actions from tech giants and congress.
