what isn't being said in the Chesa CH debate is that a 2nd "future of SF" room was created in reaction to the room 1's inability to allow racially diverse ideas on stage
room 1 is blaming politicians, room 2 is blaming room 1
this is more of a people issue than a govt issue

I feel like any time there's a big room with mostly white-or-asian people speaking, an angry spinoff room happens claiming the first room is racist

it's a fair criticism if the rooms really don't have diverse representation
but it often seems like people on CH (white/asian/black) are more interested in creating their own interest group rooms than actually having the hard conversation in a room together

im not disagreeing with you - that's why I joined room 2. but when I went on stage in room 2 and suggested inviting people from room 1 to room 2 to have the hard convo, I was shot down and told to go on twitter and rant about it ... so here I am 🙃
