i think it's near-impossible to find a man (and only slightly less impossible to find a woman) who will be satisfied with sexual exclusivity in a monogamous relationship for the rest of their life.

I think it's nearly impossible to find a man or woman who *wants* to deal with the kind of sleep disruption that a newborn typically brings, but plenty of people want large families, and so they make the tradeoff, sometimes for many years.

There are *definitely* tradeoffs re: monogamy vs. polyamory, though they may be greater or fewer for any particular individual.
