It’s the other way around, people are broken and unfit for marriage. Aren’t there more serious downsides to polygamy? Emotional welfare of kids, bigger attack surface on ones emotional welfare, harder to achieve unity with anyone, dissipated resources of all kinds.

Because more adults available to look after the kids, with more cumulative experience for advising them and helping them through stages in their life, along with greater household earning potential, is definitely going to hurt the kids.

Thanks, will look into it. Must admit I’m heavily biased, based on my recollection from that age, but it makes me that much more curious to check it out.
