I actually struggle to pin you down on the left/right spectrum.
I see you as someone who is intellectually curious and willing to ask searching questions.
So while my gut instinct is conservative, that's probably because I'm more liberal.

I'm so happy to read the replies. I've listened to so many people talk politics and then be confused their policy stances and "politics" only match up in a "Team sports"/motto sort of way. I'd say I'm a libertarian socialist, I really don't think one can work without the other.
Both of those labels refer to concepts within a classically liberal paradigm.
Illiberal ideologies are gaining in popularity today.
I'm illiberal, but not conservative.
I don't identify with either side as presented - depending on the topic I can appear either way. Ultimately I'd like a voluntarist society where gay couples can protect their adopted kids, marijuana farms, and brothels with machine guns. I feel you have similar values of liberty.
What if I don't think you are conservative or liberal, and I wouldn't identify as conservative or liberal?
