I'm so happy to read the replies. I've listened to so many people talk politics and then be confused their policy stances and "politics" only match up in a "Team sports"/motto sort of way. I'd say I'm a libertarian socialist, I really don't think one can work without the other.

As long as the socialism is voluntary, then it can work quite well. Groups of like-minded individuals, banding together for mutual aid and benefit is great, but if the socialism forces people to participate, it can't be libertarian.

Both of those labels refer to concepts within a classically liberal paradigm. Illiberal ideologies are gaining in popularity today. I'm illiberal, but not conservative.
