Running an Onlyfans is terrifying. If you advertise on reddit, you're at risk of being banned from all the biggest subs by the same cabal of mods. On Instagram, Tiktok, they randomly ban ppl with linktrees. Twitter, you get shadowbanned. Payment processors, banned. 1/

Whenever I interact with any external entity it's really stressful; I gotta be as polite/submissive as possible or risk an income cut. A few times a week we hear of another girl who got banned from somewhere - we can't do anything, we just tense up and pray it's not gonna be us.

And so whenever I'm in a space that's explicitly sex worker friendly, it's like a huge weight has lifted. Is this how ppl who run SFW businesses feel? In the rare occasions I get someone in power tell me yes, they like me, they're not going to hurt me, it's SO GOOD.

followup examples: years ago i made some youtube videos, and linked to my camgirl stuff in the description. There was zero mention in youtube rules prohibiting this, but youtube banned me with no warning, no three strikes. I emailed/appealed but heard nothing from anyone.

or, a subreddit started removing my posts no explanation. i had to message the mods several times asking why. eventually a mod responded saying "back up" (luckily another mod messaged after that explaining i'd been too visible on reddit lately and to take a break)

and i say LUCKILY. because if you get a mod who explains what they're doing and doesn't ban you for asking (yes, this happens), that's lucky. Even though they're blocking you from the subreddit despite you not violating any of their rules.

onlyfans is pretty stressful cause the money is inconsistent, but simply checking my notifications on reddit is another wave of stress because did i get banned from something for any reason at all? has tiktok taken down my account yet? is my instagram still there? idk today!
