If you had a child who came out as 100% gay, would you be happy and encouraging? What about if they came out as 100% polyamorous?

That’s telling right there. I’ve noticed that when it comes to lifestyles people are FAR less accepting than orientations. Even media inclusion is low/non existent for poly while media has gotten far more inclusive of LGBTQIA+ community I wonder how many years til that changespic.twitter.com/ND1ralOVvv

Fwiw I consider polyamory much closer to an orientation than a lifestyle. I feel like I'm naturally poly, like I could not consciously be not poly, like this is an unshakeable and core part of who I am. It absolutely does not feel like a choice to me.

At what time in your life did you discover that you were poly? I assume it’s less clear than with homo- and bisexuality.

As soon as I heard what poly was, I was like ohhhhh, that's what I am. Id been in a monog relationship with a boy prior to this in which I did performative anger when I found out he'd been sexting with another girl, but hadn't actually minded.
