3,500 children die from drowning each year in the US. Sure, maybe you like going to the pool as a family, but is it really worth thousands of deaths of innocent children? Child swimming is dangerous and should be illegal. If you oppose this, you don't value the lives of children.

the thing that triggered this tweet is the bill they're trying to get passed that will put a ton of requirements on websites to verify their users and inevitably end up causing many websites to kick off all nsfw users.

The key difference with Covid is that, if you let it run wild, hospitals will be overrun and people who would otherwise have lived will die for want of ventilators, etc - not to mention the permanent lung damage and other long-term effects of Covid on those who survive.
