I've already had covid so the point is a bit moot, but if I hadn't, I'd take it now (assuming abundant supply). The evidence for safety is strong and covid is bad for the human race. I think doing your part to end the pandemic as fast as possible approaches a civic duty.

I'm honestly very excited about what mrna vaccines mean for humanity's centuries-long quest to fuck up all the microbes that prey on us. Could be a game-changer in terms of the speed and cost of developing new, highly safe vaccines.

If it was a substitute for 14 day quarantine either side I'd definitely take it. I live in a different country to 90% of my family and friends.

My elderly dad has Covid. So close to the vaccine, but he is now testing positive. Out of fear, the poor guy never left his room in the retirement home, but he still caught it! So far, he is asymptomatic, which is a good sign. These vaccines are a must! This virus is too sneaky!
