This thread is exactly why we fight! No one should have to feel grateful for the chance to work for minimum wage (in the US!) at a job that is breaking their body.

I’m glad I felt grateful. I already worked hard to escape factory floor life, but I am extremely glad that I went through that job with gratitude. It made it bearable! It’s *good* to make people happier and more grateful.

For sure, one needs to do what one can to get through. I just don't think anyone should have to go through the same. IMO it's *better* to ensure people don't have to put themselves through pain for $7/hr or whatever min wage is there, rather than just telling them to be grateful.
