clubhouse is horrifically racist. i've never before heard such complete cruelty, lack of empathy, and sheer hatred towards people based on the color of their skin or ethnicity - and it's *explicitly stated*, not even subtle.

I think we are more transparent on digital an in person. I guess in person we are afraid of a connection? Hedgehog's dilemma of sorts? Where are able to disconnect ourselves from our emotions?

It's real people talking under their real names with their social media linked in their profile, and it's a live voice app, not text. I don't think the "ppl are meaner on the internet" theory holds as much here as it does elsewhere
