clubhouse is horrifically racist. i've never before heard such complete cruelty, lack of empathy, and sheer hatred towards people based on the color of their skin or ethnicity - and it's *explicitly stated*, not even subtle.

To clarify, I should have phrased that better. The app itself is just an app - it's that many of the conversations on the app are extremely racist, more racist than I've ever heard in my life.

Yeah, to be fair I don't think I've heard the exact phrase "pain doesn't matter", but a *lot* of explicitly trivializing pain, as in someone expresses being hurt and the response reframes the hurt as "being upset" or "can't handle it" and then mocking that.

I haven't seen any of this happen to black people, but to other minorities (saw it happen to a dark-skinned polynesian woman today) and whites it's common.
