A thing I hate is when someone expresses awe or insight, and then someone else responds mockingly that this is a trivial insight, or only deep to 13 year olds. Honestly fuck you for shaming someone else's growth to let everyone else know you're more advanced.

Totally!I think the sneering betrays they’re not as advanced as they think they are.
As we learn more deeply about something we often arrive back at awe.

me: isn't it so cool that X??
them: idk, it's not so surprising that X, because of Y and Z
me: ...but isn't X still cool?
them: X is the inevitable consequence of Y and Z

Especially since the words are just the tip of the iceberg! A person might've realized something truly profound, deep into their being, and the words they have to articulate it might seem "trivial"

There's always been a strong trend of bullying people in this country for what they don't know or thinking in non- acceptable ways. Everybody needs to help everyone else reach the same places.

Like the time I realised that there were different-coloured grapes and different-coloured wines, and those two observations were probably linked?
I was an adult 😂
