Tbf I think the problem is more with.democracy like this in general; any majority can remove rights from a minority, with this particular example it happens to be women.

Sure but in political reality land, you need a practical policy based on simple demographics. Anti female vote is a simple and effective way to limit pro infinite government influence.
Most early democracies limited votes to older, wealthier men for the same reason.
