I have pretty strange and strongly wired in abnormalities in how and when I communicate with other people and I don't know how to quickly convey to them that no the reason for me behaving this way is because my brain is weird, it's not because of you at all.

Same and I'm not autistic I think. If I have to talk to somebody I practice on my mind first to don't do strange things. It take energy.

I'm curious. Do you think this is a trait that you could effectively teach yourself to combat (assuming you see it as a negative). For example high functioning autistic people teaching themselves to recognize nonverbal cues, not monopolizing conversations, etc.

Oh, I have this. My very sparse phone call list is all one or two minute calls. I often cut calls short by asking directly, "so what can I do for you?"
