When I was a kid the "I need to unwind" meme seated itself in my mind by hearing it from others. I began to come home and lay supine on my bed with my head propped up to watch after school tv programming. First one 30 min block... them two...then (2.5 hours). Dad walks in...

one day. "What are you doing son?" And I answered in the most wine and cheese indulgent style voice, "Dad I need to unwind". He scoffed and told me to get up and go do something. I realized what I was doing was bullshit and ceased instantly. Important memory for me
