I don't understand how people manage to drink soda. It tastes absolutely awful. Every year or so I give it a shot to see what I'm missing and it's like eating sugar syrup.

As a kid, I drank it by default. These days it's incredibly rare and it's never in the house. One odd habit related to soda that I have though, is that if I'm skiing, I *must* have a coke at lunch. For some reason, it's like mana from heaven in that very specific context.

I'm sometimes envious of those people who need to lose weight and also happen to drink incredible amounts of soda. Logically, I know it's probably not easy for them to stop, but to me the answer of "stop drinking soda" seems so appealing compared to giving up other bad habits

I stopped drinking it in summer of 2018 when I realized it just made my stomach hurt. Now literally all I drink is water.

A&WRoot Beer, Cherry Coca Cola, or GTFO....I don’t drink it any more, but not because it isn’t delicious.

It’s 5% better than drinking water and 100% worse for your body so easy choice

I like to mix about 2/3rds soda water with 1/3rd soda, you get the bubbles and some flavor but it's not overwhelmingly sweet
also, people don't talk about the fact that carbonated drinks kinda *hurt* to drink. It's something you get used to but the first thing I noticed as a kid
