I get not wanting kids to make permanent changes to their body before they're old enough to have a better sense of what they want, but aren't puberty blockers reversible? If a kid wants to transition and it can be undone if they change their mind, what's the harm?

Hey Aella, we're you able to read the whole judgment? I think it is interesting to read through. So many points raised from the effects to the issue of informed consent in kids below 16 and especially in kids who are 13 and below.

I experienced what can be described as gender dysphoria dating back to age 5 but in the 80’s, telling someone didn’t seem like an option. I’d recommend avoiding blockers for adolescents. We will have data in 5-10 years but it seems unsafe both mentally and physically

I understand what you're saying and as a parent who had a kid who felt confused about her gender identity, I thought the same at first... but then she *kept* changing her mind and I was grateful that I never made the appointment and she is too really.

On a very superficial level. Approx 95% of kids that experience gender dysphoria have spontaneus resolutions over time. This comes as part of brain maturation during puberty. Block puberty and you permanently lock in the individual in a gender dysphoric state.
