Not to say that’s bad. If you wanna do that, go right ahead. But if you’d like to replace suffering without going through the whole jobless, homeless, abandoning family phase . . . Understand the critical loads suffering is bearing in your system.

Suffering gets you to stop playing games that are unfair and unproductive. Suffering gets you to make changes you’d otherwise not make. Suffering gets you everything from retrospective life satisfaction to survival.
