Columns connected by hairpin turns. Jan 1 is on top, we descend down the left to July 1st, then ascend back up the right. But at the top we don’t loop back, we curve to the right again and start a new year. What an interesting question, I’d never made that explicit before

Woah, I'm super visual-spatial but until you made me mentally render that image, I leaned on a numerical mapping "May? Oh that's 5" "September? Oh that's 9" And those numbers stretched both horizontally & vertically in a grid of steps: 1 2 3 4 2 3 4 5 3 4 5 6 4 5 6 7

Like an oval with sharp edges. Like when you draw an eye. All the summer months are in the bottom part, and Fall, winter, and spring are in the top.
