How did we get to a point where we think that the minimum amount you get paid from a company should also be enough to pay half of an average two-bedroom apartment? Why is it not "the minimum possible wage should pay for splitting a room in a lower end apartment"?
My parents bought a house for 120k in 2010 (still not paid off tho) and they did have to travel far to buy it. And wages haven't matched inflation but I thought that those calculations don't include the intense rise in stuff like jobs providing health benefits

In my country health benefits are paid for by taxes, my grandparents were able to buy where they lived and I am not able to do so! Well I mean I guess I could but it wouldn’t be worth the amount paid and time I’d be paying it off
