For the ppl scrawling my Twitter history to catch me saying a bad word, here's the one you were mad about - me directly quoting someone else in a finer point of an ideological turing test thread, in quotes to make it clear I was referencing the use of the word on a meta level.

Agree; it’s a maneuvering thing. Ppl appeal to their identity category to validate their claim; when you point out not all ppl of their identity category (including possibly yourself) agree with the claim, then the identity category is redrawn to make the argument consistent.
