For the ppl scrawling my Twitter history to catch me saying a bad word, here's the one you were mad about - me directly quoting someone else in a finer point of an ideological turing test thread, in quotes to make it clear I was referencing the use of the word on a meta level.

I don't know anybody who would agree with all of that, though I know at least one person who is on board the "black men abandon their families and are responsible for crime rates" train. They would never ever say they hate black people or "niggas"

What's the line between this and abuse? If a girlfriend offends her boyfriend by hanging out with her girlfriends, then you're still accurate in that even tho she didn't intend to offend him, he was offended. I would still tell her no, don't apologise.

I don’t think a woman hanging out with her girlfriends is either intrinsically or objectively offensive. It’s just an action that, without additional context (it’s their anniversary?), might not be offensive at all. So I went with a stranger stepping on a toe. Seems clearer.

I don't think using the word I did in the context I used it in was offensive whatsoever. People who get mad at it seem waaaaay closer to the abusive boyfriend than the toe stepped on. They actively went through my Twitter history to find it and get offended by it.

They went into a conversation where I was directly quoting someone else's use of the term, referencing the term use itself, from a year ago, to try to tell me that made me racist. That is abusive and insane.
