For the ppl scrawling my Twitter history to catch me saying a bad word, here's the one you were mad about - me directly quoting someone else in a finer point of an ideological turing test thread, in quotes to make it clear I was referencing the use of the word on a meta level.

Ah I distinctly remember the heyday of the late 90's/early 00's when 50 cent and the Game's music was for everyone and at least in Europe we were taught that there is a hard, very offensive N word and there is the contemporary "niggas" that's considered fairly benign and pop.

Context is key and I think you were justified, not that you need my opinion. It's a difficult word to use / reference and you would have probably received flack for using asterisks instead of g's.
