Clubhouse is showing me that the reason people have a hard time communicating on Twitter isn’t the format necessarily. The gap between what is acceptable or right among different groups of people is just too wide to be bridged sometimes.

Whiteness isn’t a culture. Even if it was, if you can’t learn to authentically communicate to people who order the world differently than you, especially when that order was crafted by violence & horror, you don’t have the authority to speak on anything pertaining to their lives.

I meant culturally similar in regards to ppl with certain standards of epistemic hygiene and humility, regardless of race.

This is why some people discuss whether a nation/country/society can be stable if there aren't more shared values than not. Put very different, if well meaning, cultures together and there will be conflict. Not always dangerous but can be. 🤷🏼‍♂️
