I'm interested in the heteronormative framing of this. Many women live in marriages and relationships where the man witholds any physical intimacy,v sexual contact and affection. It devastates their confidence and makes them feel unworthy and frustrated.

I think it's more common than the reverse over 50 (ie after menopause is completed, more women want sex and don't get it than men, among same age married couples)
