Loving each other is very often not nearly enough for a practical long-term relationship. You need to have other stuff too - like compatible goals in life, similar financial needs/agreements, great communication skills, etc. Love won't solve those problems.

which is fine! it's ok to not be 100% relationship/marriage compatible with everyone you love. I love a lot of people I'm not in relationships with because love isn't enough to make a serious long-term romantic relationship with those people work.
