For a lot of marriages, the husband cheating with a sex worker is the only thing keeping the marriage together

I mean the implication of "cheating" is that it's furtive. So if you think this is a reasonable thing to do I guess you'd have to explain why the husband should have to be dishonest about it.

I'm interested in the heteronormative framing of this. Many women live in marriages and relationships where the man witholds any physical intimacy,v sexual contact and affection. It devastates their confidence and makes them feel unworthy and frustrated.

That is a bulls** argument, and you know it. No one is entitled to sex. A husband is not entitled to his wife's body, or anyone else's. If one wants sex & the other doesn't, then that needs to be discussed, open & honestly. Divorce is much better than living in misery.

What if somebody... actually doesn't want... to have sex? I'd consider this a reductio of eternally absolutely closed marriages that stay closed past this condition occurring; I would certainly not consider it a proof of abuse if somebody just doesn't want sex anymore.
