I've wondered about this. Imagine a significant number of women were getting very real looking implants (e.g. very soft and only going up one bra size or less). How would you know unless they told you?

They're usually pretty obvious. Could be because they didn't spend enough, but the people I know who got implants were pretty well off + was still obvious, even though they weren't big - the curvature and movement give it away imo

Yeah – I've read that the natural look is more popular in Japan. Smaller sizes, maybe water-filled IIRC, and something about not attaching in a fixed way 🤷‍♂️. I imagine they're still detectable but not nearly as much.

I also suspect that boob jobs are a lot like makeup; when they're bad you see them, and when they're good you don't know they're there.

Then there's just a much higher % of people who get bad boob jobs vs women who are bad at doing makeup(?) Makeup at least it's cheap and easy to fix/do a better job on the next attempt
