I've received massive hate brigades from both the right and the left, and I think right ppl tend to insult things like life/competence (e.g., you will fail and no one will like you) and left ppl tend to attack identity (e.g. "you are shit and you should die")

Wait do you comb through the accts of ppl who insult you to determine their political lean?

Naw it's obvious, for example if I get hate for tweeting something critical of trans or race narratives, the haters are from the left; if I tweet supporting abortion or sex work, the haters are from the right.

And it comes in big waves, I occasionally get 'brigade days' where my mentions are unusable because they're too clogged with ppl telling me how terrible I am

Yeah I feel like sometimes the brigades probably aren’t that related to what you’ve posted most recently though? I am tiny twitter but I have a comment that I should probably just delete now that I’m thinking of it that’s been rediscovered three times since I made it in March

Sure yeah, sometimes there's resurgences, but it's obvious which tweet is the one causing it, I can just click on any insult and see what they're responding to

I sometimes wish I had a larger reach but then I read things like this and wonder if it would be as cool as I imagine it to be. Maybe something to cherish about being a relative nobody
