I have hyperhidrosis of the hands and feet, which means they sweat profusely for random reasons, and it's extremely annoying. and it took twenty-eight goddamn years to figure out it's (at least partially) triggered by temperature. At 71F, I sweat profusely. At 69F, I'm dry.

other things it seems to be triggered by maybe but i'm not sure: lack of exercise for too long. my body being in odd positions (yoga, or balancing on things to put up curtains). thinking about my hands sweating.

have you checked a correlation with low blood sugar? Like not super low on blood sugar, just relatively low. That’s what sometimes triggers sweating for me. Drinking something sugary or eating fixes it.

ok yeah just an idea / avenue to explore. For me it’s not low blood sugar per se, but at some point I noticed that it’s a contributing factor -> not having eaten enough / for longer / anything long-lasting and *then* the right temperature or psychological stuff triggers it for me
