this room is blowing my mind. i dont understand what kind of logic these people are using AT all. a black lady was like "its easy to self-segregate, i notice i don't have white friends" and someone else was like "white ppl asking black ppl questions is rooted in white supremacy"

im getting from this room that black women have the highest status; the white ppl repeatedly are super deferent to the black, and all the men, white and black, are deferent to the black women, with black women frequently described with hero-type language

"antiracism isn't feel-good work. It's gonna feel uncomfortable because that's the only way you grow." yeah i remember IF YOU FEEL BAD THEN THATS A SIGN THIS IS RIGHT from my fundamentalist christian brainwashing

they're talking critically about a woman in the room who was congratulating other white ppl in the room for showing up to a 'ask black ppl questions' room and saying 'we need to heal the planet and all get along' stuff. They say no, actually white ppl need to feel more guilty

a black lady is now complaining that white ppl are asking 'what i can do to help you guys here' instead of explaining what they're doing to help black ppl in their own communities

now they're getting mad cause she was offering spiritual-esque services to black people, but a lot of spirituality has been stolen from black people

a new black lady has come in and is extremely mad that this conversation seems to be so space-giving for white people

she said that hearing the white lady talking about offering her services to black people made her feel really unsafe and no, the room is not safe. this caused some controversy, other black ppl were referring to the room as a 'safe space'
