I don’t get why ppl are upset when I compare a good thing with a bad thing - I’m not saying the morality of the action is equivalent, I’m saying that they’re made up of many components, and one of the components is similar. Bad things often have lots in common with good things!

To stop abortion, the answer isn't to ban sex, it's introducing things to prevent pregnancy. Nobody *wants* to have an abortion. To stop pedophilia, the answer isn't to ban experiencing those urges, it's introducing things to prevent offenses. Nobody *wants* to be a pedophile.

The abortion and pedophilia comparison doesn't gel. Pregnancy is a either/or state while pedophilia involves an always on urge/drive. Perhaps comparing it to the compulsion of addiction and the push for rehabilitation over punishment might've produced a bit better result.

Pedophilia is actually sexual attraction to children. But laws that define anyone, regardless of sexual maturity, younger than 18 as children miscasts the natural attraction to fertile, young mates as pedophilia. It's not.

Decreasing abortion rates is easy - it's a combination of ACTUAL sex education and easy access to contraceptives. Compare the US with "abstinence only" sex ed with other countries that have better education and there's a clear correlation.

I think u r wrong about no one wants abortions, its easy to google the way ppl celebrate their right to abortion. No one wants “unwanted child”.
