Generally, I view conservative values as high-scarcity, survival-oriented; designed to help cultures thrive when pressure is high. Liberal values are low-scarcity, and help people thrive when pressure is low. We're privileged to be able to hold liberal values.

What? It's a privilege to be able to shut down your economy and not work and still survive. No shit poorer areas would rather risk death.

We live paycheck to paycheck with higher standards of living than ancient kings. Americans are living in bigger spaces, with a wider variety of food available and a longer lifespan and no fear of kids dying and vaccines, all paycheck to paycheck
