Does this make celebs the new priests? Castigating you for a standard you know they don't live up to.

This seems highly incompatible with results so far suggesting that Biden is performing better with whites and worse with minorities compared to Clinton.
-
I don't think so? "Compared to clinton" doesn't seem like a particularly persuasive point here, tho it might be a mild piece of evidence suggesting otherwise.

Less "forgiveness of sins" and more "these thing aren't sins, what those guys are doing is actually a sin."

Doesn’t track. My entire life it has been the right that has been telling us we are sinful. The “party of morals”, the Christian Coalition, moral wedge issues like abortion arms stem cell research. Each camp has their own brand.

dude i was raised christian and now am a pro-abortion poly sex worker, but even *still* i have run into less aggression and hatred from the right as i do from the left

Interesting. Its why the Left shouldn't base its politics on moralising(nor should the Right - which is does on specific issues as you noted) but on people's interests - but neither "side" does that.
-
There is a substantial portion of society that is masochistic and an even larger portion that wants others to change, so moralizing politicians have a large audience.
