yeah i was raised in a patriarchal cult where abortion was the worst sin and women were explicitly referred to as less intelligent and brave and my entire life purpose was to become a housewife and i was subject to tons of beatings

That's what it's all about: compassion, love, understanding, willingness to sit & listen w/o speaking, finding a common ground & goals, reaching across, walking in another's shoes, doing no harm, leaving no children hungry, accept there are other opinions w/o hate as a response.
