It's been disappointing to see so many people pretending to be progressive, saying the only way to fight discrimination and racism is with more discrimination and racism. They apparently misunderstood the "how to fight bad speech" rule and ran with it.
You get shouted down for saying anything close to this. I wouldn’t get your hopes up for any productive conversation. It’s all over on that front.
It's an axiomatic truth of the universe that trying not to do the thing is doing the thing. Antiracism always ends up being racist.
I dunno. It’s not polling well, and there are no real-world consequences if it doesn’t pass. If you’re ranking ideologies to be afraid of b/c of real-world consequences, Republican-brand conservatism is the bad one right now.
but if you're ranking ideologies to decide which one to promote, you should rank them by the expected consequences if they win, not current consequences
