Oh that's interesting. Of the wealthier, more value safety. Of the poorer, more value the economy. I don't know why I expected it to go the other way around

In my case, I’m biased toward safety by the fact that I know the Canadian government will help me pull through if I can’t work due to a lockdown, as they did this spring. I totally understand poor people in countries with less supportive governments being biased toward economy.

This is the false choice so many think they must make. The ONLY way to get the economy back on track is to control transmission of the virus. And that doesn't require draconian lockdowns. It does require resources and a sensible citizenry.
