Instead of no executives getting rich in universal coverage system or having to run a DTC business where CAC is high, they can run a B2B business where the user isn’t the customer and charge enterprise prices to all sized businesses.

It's a dodge of payroll taxes. Corporations offered health insurance to top earners so they could offer valuable benefits without paying extremely high tax rates (or the employer match on social security) on them and the unions/rank and file workers later demanded the same.
