Sex is a way of teaching and learning modes of being. I rarely see this talked about.

I was thinking about something similar today, but more about how the idea of "narrative" affects the actual experience of sex. Ex: sex-as-play vs sex-as-experimentation vs sex-as-union etc.
I'm not certain anymore these are even meaningfully the "same" thing...

I think of sex as a medium, just like speech or drawing.
It's a shame that most people use the medium for only one type of thing.

...or more often, a lossy facsimile of one type of thing 😬

It is strange that sex isn't known to have the same stylistic variety as dance.
How many types of dance do we recognize? Hundreds? Flamenco, ballroom, tango, trap....
One time I bartended a sex party and saw people go at it in the same repetitive way, partner after partner.

With dance most people don't have to follow a very specific series of dance steps to orgasm
Hence the need for sacred temple prostitutes that can teach people
