As an emergency fallback: all cell carriers sell physical hotspot devices that you can connect your phone/laptop to with a data plan. I had to get it when I was in a similar situation. I remember all carriers offered about 30GB for $100, which is extortion but better than nothing

As of 2016, you could buy multiple prepaid SIM cards from t-mobile and just swap them out when you reached the monthly limit after a couple days. I used that method to continue working at my remote job from a cheap weekly motel while waiting to close on my house.
