other sex workers who might be reading my threads rn, just remember that the vitriol people hold towards sex workers is *exactly* what ends up creating low supply and high demand for our services, and is why we get to charge such high prices. We need the stigma.

It's more like they *don't go up*, as other prices. More like, there isn't a bidding war or anything, but there are popular conceptions on what prostitutes cost, and people can't raise prizes above it because there are always more prostitutes who will work for the old ones

Though, of course, prostitution has been legal in Germany for a hundred years, so that's more because of the expansion of the EU...

I can’t speak to Europe I haven’t worked there but NZ & NSW both haven’t dropped in rates since decrim - & in Aus the rates are fairly standard across the country even in the states where it’s illegal still
-
As to some context, NSW has had decrim since 1995 so it’s been enough time that there should’ve been a huge drop in rates if what you suggested were the case

Strippers have a hard time earning well in any area where "extras" are unofficially allowed and it's more difficult to charge a lot when the clients can get more for the same price legally.

Dates are more driven by incomes in the counties to which you refer to. Plenty of girls working at similar rates to European workers in the USA. We just don’t have the same super high end market
