The Masses Of Twitter do this thing where literally anything you do or say will be interpreted in the most unflattering light possible. I keep thinking "Oh if I just give more information people will understand", but this isn't true - people have already made up their minds.

e.g., "Nobody wants a whore" "But I've dated several people!" "That means all your relationships failed, you whore" "But I'm friends with sex workers who are in long happy marriages" "They married beta pussies" They decided the story and are reinterpreting everything to fit it.

This doesn't just happen with this topic, and not just with me - it's *so common* to see people angry, at people whose situations and lives and minds they don't know and have zero desire to get to know, to see people who prejudge and reinterpret everything you do as damned.

Twitter is like a bunch of little heads rolling around in the long grass screaming "fuck youuu" at all the other heads. "fuck you you arent rolling in the grass right" "fuck you jerry why the FUCK did you roll downhill" and nobody can see each other but they're all angry

Have you read Jonathan Haidt's The Righteous Mind? If memory serves me, he makes the case that people's emotions have to be appealed to before their minds will change in most cases.
