Strong A.
I would be really curious to hear why people who vote B make that choice.
Maybe I just don't want to live in a world with assholes.

At face value the set of all terrible beliefs is far darker, scarier and more dangerous than the set of all possible asshole behaviours.
A society of assholes is conceivable and I could cope. A society based on terrible (potentially horrific) ideas is much more painful to accept

most of my actual friends that i trust are like the polar opposite of me when it comes to beliefs. we just talk about the stuff we like. sometimes we'll talk about our beliefs but idk. even if it gets heated it kinda feels like our friendship got stronger

My rule is "I don't personally dislike anyone for their beliefs, as long as they aren't a hypocrite."

If one's neither an asshole or idiot terrible beliefs are unsustainable long term

This is the type of question that would get a vastly different result had you done it with an example instead of rethorical... I can see a lot of people answering "A" while still having a really low bar about what "being an asshole" means.

Also to be clear, I do think that some beliefs can only be held by assholes.
