I don't get why "brains and preferences are super different" isn't a sufficient explanation, like they can't imagine some people just genuinely are happier with a different arrangement. Their starting assumption is that different = bad and if you claim otherwise you're lying.

Well, make sure you're being honest with yourself. What draws you to polygamous relationships? Is it just a way of ensuring you have multiple people who are close to you and will never leave you, since you lack close platonic friendships and community?

Are there any polygamous relationships you look up to? The only polygamous relationships I come across involve people who quite frankly seem strange and unwell (like Joe Exotic), but maybe you could become a role model for the polygamous community.
