Tbh... I’d say you just meet them. It happens, and it clicks. You rarely ever have any control on how you feel about a person. It just feels right

To put it less depressingly: the answer is basically you have to keep looking indefinitely until you get lucky, there are steps you can take to increase your chances like engaging in a hobby where you will frequently meet the kind of people you want to marry but no guarantees.

You're the first person I've ever seen describe a benefit to a Mensa meeting other than being able to brag about being a member.

The person you marry should be: Open to the life goals and plans you have. Interested in quality conflict resolution which includes explicit admissions of fault when appropriate. And have a life outside of the marriage that they want to talk to you about.

Met mine at a music festival buying acid for the first time off her friend, she said don't do it alone. The thing people are saying about being happy on your own though. They have to be better than your already great life. The where is random obviously?

Take happiness out of the marriage equation. Married people aren’t ”happy” 50% of the time. Single people aren’t “happy” 48% of the time. Run off people that are pricks when they are unhappy. 2 people that take 100% responsibility for their own happiness can do anything together
