Slight positive. Tattoos used to signal a high openness to experience and risk taking comfort level, which would imply freaky options. But tattoos are getting downright common now, so the correlation weakens.

Everything is correlated and in this case it is extremely unlikely there wouldn't be a relationship even if it could be very small. Positive seems much more likely based on demographics.

I'll see if I can find it, but there was a study that found that having one tattoo had no correlation with social deviancy, but having multiple tattoos had a strong positive correlation. Although, the recent trend toward wider popular acceptance may have rendered this obsolete.

Perhaps not so much these days but back when they were a bit more taboo. Tattoo parlours were illegal in NYC from the 60s to the late 90s. The population of non-tattooed people include not only "normies" but full on Ned Flanders types etc...
