I've blocked a lot of people. Usually I block when they insult me or threaten me, but this week it's been more subtle insults under a veneer of politeness, wtf is going on

Was on purpose, to make you see a point. You can't do the full time libertarian and not expect other people to go full libertarian with you. I think the quality of the answers you get reflexes the quality of the content you provide.
