In circling (or generally good communication), it's a good rule to 'own your experience.' If someone you're talking to says something stupid that makes you angry, recognize your reaction as "fully yours" - don't put it onto the other person as their responsibility 1/

in the deep value of curiosity and self doubt, and I feel afraid and uncomfortable at the small possibility they might turn on me in the future because they never were really in connection with me to begin with. I don't like this feeling, it makes me sad. 12/12.

FTR, I have never encountered anyone who was intensely into astrology. I don't believe it either but, in terms of potential harm, I put it on par with fortune telling machines and Magic 8 Balls and just below fortune cookies.

Referencing the first few paragraphs of this thread, wouldn't that be your responsibility to not feel that way, or to communicate those feelings to those people, or leave like you said? and not "place the burden on them" for taking responsibility for your reaction to their views?

There's a subtle difference here - my reaction is mine, but I can say "I think this way if operating in the world leads to harm/me not wanting to be around them", and this is what I'm doing. I also acknowledge they're doing what makes sense for them.
