Does exercise make you feel good? I mean stuff like 'runner's high' or a general increased mood afterwards. This is *not* including correlational stuff; e.g., social boost from sports with friends, achievement/pride boosts from weight goals, fun from physical games, etc.

Coffee works ok, but when really sleepy, nothing is more effective than doing 250 kb swings and 100 pushups. Makes me awake and about ready to fling a chair at something

Depends the exercise. Running or other cardio makes me really tired and unproductive and sometimes miserable. Regular lifting makes me really horny and a happy baby. High-intensive lifting = cardio

For me it works the best after a long distance bicycle ride. Running makes me exhausted a bit too fast. But I can ride a bicycle the whole day and after a few hours I usually have this moment when I'm grinning from ear to ear 😀

I've never had anything like a "high" but yes, it does make me feel better physically and emotionally (even though I'm just as fat as I was before that session).

It has to be in the “Goldilocks zone”. I used to overdo it, work out too hard and get headaches, nausea, all sorts of stupid bullshit. But a light-to-medium workout gives me the nice micro-opiates

Lately I’ve been doing this thing periodically I call “run like a child”, where I lace up my running shoes, go to the park and run in bursts entirely dictated by how it feels, rather than following some sort of structure. It reliably yields the best post-workout feels

If it's a good run then I get into what feels like a meditation. There is usually an immediate mood boost, but also a raising of general mood if I'm running 3x+ per week. I can feel it in the type of tiredness I get: exercise tired = good. Too much screentime / bored tired = bad
